On April 1, 1980 the Gesamthochschule Eichstätt became the first and only Catholic University in Germany. Although the KU has a history that dates back to the establishment of the Collegium Willibaldinum in 1564, the founding of the University 40 years ago marks an important milestone. We will celebrate this in 2020 with a varied and diverse program.
Celebrate the 40th anniversary of Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt with us!
We take this anniversary year as an opportunity to look back on our history. We present the KU of today with its achievements in research and teaching. And we take a look into the future: What does the KU of tomorrow stand for, what topics will be important to us?
You will find the events in the anniversary year on the following pages. The program is updated regularly.
